The Claras formed in 2024 after meeting on the Sussex pub session scene. Clare was born into a musical Irish family and spent years as a soul and blues singer before turning to the harp, while Claire, who caught the trad bug early in life, has a background in folk singing and songwriting, and co-organised a folk festival for many years. Passionate about traditional music, The Claras perform with confidence, conviction and heart.
